Who is MySense for?

MySense is for everyone who wants a better understanding of their wellbeing or the wellbeing of someone they care for. MySense understands a person’s unique patterns of behaviour, identifying changes over time.

How does it work?

Discreet MySense sensors in the home monitor behaviour and general wellbeing related to hydration, nutrition, sleep and activity. Our algorithms then determine if your wellbeing is changing and if notifications should be generated to inform you and your responders.

What are the devices?

The MySense kit includes a gateway (which receives data from the sensors), a smartwatch (wearable device), a chair sensor, a kettle sensor, a tap sensor, a toilet sensor, a sleep sensor, and three door sensors (front door, fridge and bathroom).

Do the sensors have cameras or microphones?

No. There aren’t any listening or recording devices of any kind in MySense sensors.

Is my information safe?

Yes, keeping your information private is our top priority. We will never share or sell your data to other parties without your consent.

Can MySense track my location?

No. MySense does not have any GPS capability and cannot view your location. Your movement levels are determined through your activity around the home which informs our motion sensors.

Is it easy to install?

Yes, our app and dashboard will guide you through the process, step by step.

Do I need Wifi?

No. Your MySense kit comes with an ethernet cable which can plug into your internet modem. It also works with 4G and comes with an EE SIM card built into the MySense home hub. There are no additional data charges if you choose to use 4G.

How long does it take to install a MySense box?

The installation typically takes about an hour and involves running through the health survey questions and placing the devices around the home.

What happens after installation?

Our kit will calibrate during the first 28-days as MySense learns what normal looks like for you. After that, you will begin to receive notifications if anything changes to your normal data pattern.

What type of maintenance is required for the MySense sensors?

MySense sensors are designed for minimal maintenance. The sensors contain lithium batteries with a life expectancy that typically exceeds a year but simple battery replacement maybe required from time to time.

The gateway and sleep sensor must be plugged into an AC outlet at all times, while the wearable should be charged at least once a week for 45-60 minutes.

How much energy do the sensors use?

The amount of energy the sensors use is very low; up to an extra £3 per year to your typical energy bill.

Is MySense compatible with Android and Apple phones?

Yes. MySense is compatible with both Android and Apple phones. We support Android 8.0 and above and iOS 12.2 and above.
