Set up the kit – sensors and wearable watch
Place small, discreet sensors in key rooms (like the bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen) and ensure your loved one wears the lightweight wellbeing watch during the day. The kit operates using a sim card, so no internet connection is required in the home.
MySense Everyday learns their normal routine
It builds a personalised baseline of what’s typical – like movement patterns, bathroom visits, and
sleep behaviour.
Spot subtle changes early
If something shifts – disturbed sleep, reduced movement, more frequent bathroom trips – MySense Everyday notices early.
Get real-time alerts
If something's wrong, like a fall or panic button press, our 24x7 Alarm Receiving Centre will be alerted and will attempt to contact the individual directly through the watch to check on their welfare. The team will then contact the nominated care network or the emergency services, as appropriate.
No. MySense Everyday uses discreet, non-camera sensors and doesn’t record sound or video.
Is the data secure?
Yes. MySense is fully GDPR-compliant. All data is encrypted and only used to support your loved one’s wellbeing.
Ease of Use for Loved Ones
What if my loved one doesn’t like tech?
That’s okay. The only thing they’ll need to wear is a comfortable wristband. There are no screens or apps for them - everything works passively in the background.
Is it suitable for people with dementia or memory loss?
Yes. MySense is ideal for people with memory challenges because it requires no interaction - the system simply learns routines and alerts you to changes.
What if they forget to wear the wristband?
The home sensors will still monitor their environment, but the wristband is essential for features like fall detection and emergency contact.
How does MySense know what's "normal" for my loved one?
When first installed, MySense goes through a 7-day learning period to understand your loved one’s unique daily routines - like when they typically wake up, move around, or use the bathroom. This personalised baseline helps the system identify meaningful changes in behaviour, so alerts are more accurate and tailored to their needs.
Does my loved one need internet in their home?
No. MySense Everyday operates using a built-in SIM card, so there’s no need for a Wi-Fi connection or internet setup in the home.
Setup & Installation
How hard is installation?
It’s very simple. Sensors stick on with adhesive pads — no tools or tech skills required.
What happens once I've purchased?
You’ll receive your kit with full setup instructions. Our support team is available by phone if you need help at any stage.
How long does the MySense kit take to install?
The kit is designed for easy self-installation and typically takes around 30–40 minutes to set up in the home.
What if I need help setting up the kit?
Our MySense helpdesk is here to support you. Whether you need help with installation
or after-care, our team is just a phone call or email away.
Using the App
How does the app work?
You’ll have access to a clean, easy-to-use dashboard showing daily trends and instant alerts if anything changes.
Can more than one family member use the app?
Yes. You can invite multiple family members, friends, or carers to join your loved one’s “circle” in the MySense app. Everyone in the circle can view wellbeing insights and receive updates, helping share the responsibility of care. However, for emergency alerts (like a fall or panic button press), only one person can be designated as the primary contact who will be called first.
Can I tell from the app if the wearable watch isn’t being worn?
Yes. The app will indicate whether the wearable is not being worn, helping you ensure
full protection and accurate monitoring.
Emergencies & Alerts
What happens if there’s an emergency?
If there's a fall or the panic button is pressed, the first call goes to our 24/7 Alarm
Receiving Centre. A trained operator will speak to your loved one directly through the wearable watch. Based on the response — or if there’s no response — they will then contact the nominated family member or emergency services, depending on what is most appropriate for the situation.
Payment
How does payment work for MySense Everyday?
When you purchase MySense Everyday, your first payment will include the £149 (RRP £239.95)
hardware cost and the first month’s subscription fee of £39 (RRP £45 per month). After that, £39 will be charged automatically each month using the same payment method you used at checkout. You can cancel anytime after the first 3 months, with one month’s notice.
Can I get VAT relief on my MySense Everyday purchase?
Yes, you may be eligible for VAT exemption under HMRC Notice 701/7, which allows certain products to be sold without VAT to individuals who have a chronic illness or disability. This includes people with a long-term physical or mental health condition that affects their ability to carry out everyday activities, or those purchasing on behalf of someone who qualifies.
If you believe you’re eligible, simply complete your purchase as normal. Once your order is placed, please email us at support@mysense.ai to request a VAT exemption. Our team will guide you through a short declaration process to confirm eligibility. Once this is completed and approved, we’ll refund the VAT portion of your kit purchase.
If you have any questions about your eligibility or need assistance with the process, our support team is happy to help.
